This is my print of Franz Stigler's Bf-109F. North Africa
Franz became a double ace over the desert.

This is my artwork and print of Italian Ace, Ugo Drago.
Ugo flew the Bf-109G-6 with 20mm canon in wing gondola's.
He shot down an American B-25 with this Messerschmitt.

This Bf-109G was flown by Horst Petzschler. Horst flew this light gray 109 in high altitude interception of Mustangs escorting American bombers formations.
Horst flew two fighters painted identically like the one I painted above.
In the first he was shot down during a battle. Between the two 109's "Black 14", Horst claimed two P-51 Mustangs, one B-17 and one B-24.

The above profile is from the web and is by Kjetil Aakra.

This is my painting of a fighter with JG5. I loved painting this fighter. I painted it in two days.
Started on Thursday night and finished Saturday night.
Only a few of the 109"s with JG5 were equipped with the 20mm cannon gondola.

I can not remember where I got this profile from, a model conversion kit I think.
The copy is poor because it was made for a primitive Xerox machine.
Note the small Plexiglas dome with radar equipment mounted behind the cockpit.

This profile was e-mailed to me. I do not know who the artist is. If someone knows, please tell me so they can get proper credit.
This was to be a group of Messerschmitts that were reworked with high-performance engines.
Note that the bottom of the wings were painted black. Standard daylight camouflage, or really what ever the Messerschmitt had been previously painted before they were sent to JG 300 for their night sorties was used. There were some factory built G-10's that were painted all light blue/gray RLM #76. Jorge Czypionka flew one that was painted in the light blue/gray. He said that the ground crew kept the aircraft washed down and clean. His 109 had a white six-pointed shooting star on the cowling. Czypionka said that his fighter had no fuselage band.
The souped-up Messerschmitts were to chase down the dreaded British Mosquito. They did perform well. One night Jorge Czypionka blew an engine in pursuit of a Mosquito. He said that it was quite exciting.
